As far as I know, there aren't any girls swooning over me. There were more doing that in my novice teaching placement. There may be one or two girls who don't want to really admit it out right or really show there friends but I'm not sure. Just observations from the aide that comes in. But no girls following me or anything.
I'm graduating from my university in May. Can't wait to finally be done with it.

tender, I have heard this before---from my spouse (yes he almost didnt get his masters degree)....his teacher/professor/adviser was an idiot. And well, along the way he was also a money grabber (he was getting PAID for a grad assistant and my hubby was said assistant but got no money)....you would think a masters degree should only take 2 or 3 years....well almost 5 years --still no degree until one day my hubby gets a call from said adviser (he had stopped being a full time student since no money=no way to pay for things like, rent and food)....seems said idiot had been taking money from yet another project and doing NO WORK on it, and it also seems that my hubby was supposed to be his assistant for said project (my hubby was doing his masters thesis on that area)...and yep, not getting paid. WELLLLLL the committee that was paying the idiot decided they wanted something in print to show for all the cash they had been paying out, and since the idiot had not been doing ANY work there he asks my hubby for his thesis and turns that in to them (we managed to make an agreement: the paper for the degree)...so we had to fax said paper over to THAILAND a few pages at a time (it was 200+ pages long)....but he finally got his degree and we have never talked to said idiot professor ever again. (prof was on sabatical overseas at the time...getting paid for being a professor, the project and a grad student and doing NO work whatsoever....must be nice being tenured )
yeah I have heard plenty...wont even go into my grad school story as I am waiting for my old prof to die (yeah really--she had a permanently broken foot and drank like a ....and was on pain killers too).
pwnd....you just dont know which girls are looking you over!

they ones that are REALLY paying attention are the ones who are star struck (you can tell by looking into the room before--and if they immediately shut up and sit straight up etc--Bingo!)
but glad you are focused on teaching!

And pwnd already has a girl, so why would he want 1 more?, i mean it's ok to look if they're tight looking, but other than that, shame on you :P
I would never be able to teach, i do have the calm for it, and rarely if ever get stressed, but just 5 + people loking at me while i talk /shudder

it takes a certain personality to teach, some people have it others do not (I can, I just dont want to any more).....and I dont think pwnd is looking--but I am SURE the kids in his classes are (very hard for young girls to NOT think about the new student teacher ESPECIALLY if he is a HE).

Thanx for the story Cosyfiep! it makes me think a lot how this elite world of University in USA works
BTW: i just gradueated with 101 over 110. I started from 100 points and they gave me 1 point just cos i did a superbe exposition... There was just the most faithful friend to see me and i did very well....I feel free from everything now! Spend some time drinking some Prosecco (italian sparkling white wine, very typical of north-est Italy) with some old friends and made some joke in the name of old times passed together...
regards!

Hey now---I am only the messenger! but yeah whomever or whatever did that last page bug did a loulou on us---havent heard any more news than I have relayed about it sorry
wow tender....I took a wee bit of different languages while in college (none are fluent except english--and some people find that debatable too)....but if you are fluent in those you could get a nice job as a translator.

Ha ha, did not know they were that young, my apologies, though in Denmark 15 is "legal" so.
Yes Congrats Tender, very well done indeed.
Also Tender, may I ask, why did you learn Danish and Norwegian? it's not used in many countries.
And the last page bug is but a minor nuisance.

@Azzer20 and Cosyfiep: i picked those languages cos i wanted to learn something i can't learn by myself. English i had the basis from high school, spanish also and i traveled a lot in Spain and speak daily with those spanish friends.
Actually since i was a child i had a passion for North Europe, when i get at the uni i found some really nice and very professional nordic languages professors (ladies actually, also beautiful ones ) so i went on in scandinavian studies.
Cosyfiep: everybody tell me i should do the translator, but i would need to attend another specialization course which i don't want to do, first cos i cannot allow the fees for that elite school, second cos i got no more bananas to study
